Our opening on 1st June 2009 marked a new era for healthcare provision for the residents of Ormsgill and the surrounding neighbourhood with the opening of the first ever pharmacy in the area.
The pharmacy occupies bright modern premises offering all the facilities you would expect of a modern pharmacy incorporating a fully fitted consultation room which allows the pharmacy to provide a wide range of additional services.
Services provided include free Medicine Use Reviews (MUR's), a confidential Emergency Hormonal Contraception (EHC) service and an NHS Stop Smoking Scheme.
We also offer services to substance misuse clients and facilities for needle exchange from purpose built premises with a designated discreet and private area.
Murrays (Middlefield) dispenses NHS and private prescriptions as well as selling a full range of over-the-counter medicines and a selection of toiletries.
We also stock a range of baby foods and nappies and we are happy to exchange 'Healthy Start Vouchers' for baby milk purchases.
We are pleased to be able to provide a full Prescription Collection Service 'Leave it with me’ from all local surgeries. Furthermore, there is a delivery service for those people who are housebound or are unable to visit the pharmacy.
