Frank's Advice on Holiday Homeopathy

Using Homeopathic Remedies while on holiday and while travelling can help cope with some of the problems encountered.

  • Travel Sickness
    I use a combination homeopathic preparation made up of more than one remedy(cocculus,tabacum and petroleum). This can be quite effective especially for children even on short journeys

  • Fear of Flying
    A remedy called Argent Nit can help to alleviate this problem. Rescue Remedy can help aswell


  • Jet Lag
    Arnica can be effective in countering the bad effects of jet lag and helps the symptoms of fatigue. It can also help minor bruising and toothache

  • Holiday Diarrhoea
    A remedy called Arsen Alb can be effective in reducing the sickness and stomach cramps which characterise this problem

  • Minor cuts and Abrasions
    Calendula tincture is good, just dabbed on any minor injury and promotes good healing. A few drops in a glass of like warm water makes a good mouthwash for mouth ulcers.


  • Prickly Heat
    Lots of people get this itchy rash in the heat and sunshine abroad and a remedy called Urtica can be effective for treatment

  • Insect bites and stings
    For any minor stings and bites, a remedy called Apis can be effective. However if you have any doubts about any stings and bites when abroad, you must consult a Doctor.

Homeopathy must NOT be considered as a substitute for Malaria Prophylaxis or Vaccination against other diseases. It is dangerous to consider homeopathy as an alternative medicine. It should only be used to compliment other treatments not replace them.
